A Liveable New Jersey for All
We can do a lot to mobilize against climate change right here in New Jersey. Local actions can have far-reaching consequences. We’re working to keep dangerous, unnecessary gas pipelines from crisscrossing our state. We’ve helped shut down outdated dirty coal plants. We’re promoting wind and solar energy, clean transportation, and joining environmental justice communities in their fight to keep polluters from adding to their existing environmental burdens.

Across the state, Sierra Club members work in geographically focused groups to address local issues. Group volunteers host educational activities and outings and work on political and conservation activities: Find a local Sierra Club group that meets near you.
Explore the Outdoors
Understanding the value of preserving our precious resources happens naturally when people have the chance to experience the outdoors. The New Jersey Chapter sponsors hikes and other outings, and also has programs for youth from communities that have limited access to the outdoors.
